AS ANC LOSES CREDIBILITY

Image
Mr Mbeki, I remember you writing a piece in which you were declaring that you were African. I remember wrestling with my simple mind at that time as to what you really meant or even the relevance of it. What surprised me the most was the fact that you come from Africa and you are black. I am quite sure that any person who has a working mind would have called you an African without even knowing where you came from and without you even declaring to that effect. Sir, did you really have to declare that you were African or there was a subliminal message you were trying to send the world. Was it the Mugabe connection you were trying to tell us?  Sir, I saw you on a Diamond conference in Zimbabwe, with Robert Mugabe of course! One is free to socialize with whomever, they wish! However, sir, it was what Mugabe said about you that can never escape my memory! Welcome Tambo, you are one of us, said Mugabe! To which you responded with a huge smile, of which if Stevie Wonder could feel it, w

SECURITY AGENTS TO CONFISCATE MDC-T`S POLL FRAUD EVIDENCE!

Security agents in bid to confiscate MDC-T poll fraud evidence The IDs of dead Zimbabweans used for registering in the most recent elections found by the MDC-T in Chegutu By Nomalanga Moyo SW Radio Africa 6 August 2013 The MDC-T says it has received information that state security agents are preparing to raid more than 100 MDC-T premises in a bid to thwart the party’s electoral fraud court challenge. This was revealed by party spokesman Douglas Mwonzora, who also told SW Radio Africa on Tuesday that the process of “gathering evidence and documenting everything that led to the electoral fraud” was going well. Mwonzora said: “But we now understand that state security agents have prepared more than 100 search warrants to target the offices and premises of senior MDC officials to destroy this evidence that we want to present before the courts.” Mwonzora said they also feared that the agents will plant damning material in the homes of party officials, and use this a

VIOLENCE ERUPTS IN ZIMBABWE AFTER THE FLAWED ELECTIONS!

Women, children flee homes after Zanu (PF) intimidation: Amnesty Amnesty International has reported women political activists and their children in Mashonaland Central and Midlands were fleeing their homes following acts of intimidation by Zanu (PF) supporters. The human rights group said at least six women said they left home with their 12 young children after facing threats from village heads in Mukumbura and Mberengwa following the July 31 polls that President Robert Mugabe and Zanu (PF) won controversially. The displaced women activists, some of whom said they had to leave children behind, told Amnesty International that more families are in the same predicament and remain stranded in the Mukumbura district under threat of violence. The women were threatened with violence and forced to flee with their children for refusing to reveal their vote to Zanu (PF) supporters, Amnesty reported. The families, according to the organization, say they were targeted due to the

The people of Zimbabwe thanks DA & Botswana for standing up for the Zimbabwean people, when even despair had seized to exist. What could we have done if we were left with the criminal and unsymphathetic ZUMA & AU. You were able to lead Africa in a Democratic direction when others were prepared to sacrifice, the rights and future of my people on the alters of pompeous self regard. The people of Zimbabwe see no friend in ANC as they are potentially evil. It pains my heart, that Mandela fought so hard for democracy, yet others in his party do not see its significance! It is in the interest of the South African public to vote wisely in your next elections. Look at us, we are still fighting the same dictator 33 years on! DA, BOTSWANA you are friends, you gave democratic hope to the people of Zimbabwe when no one else in African cared. Thank you! MDC PRESS RELEASE!

The MDC-T congratulates the people of Zimbabwe for voting resoundingly for the MDC-T on 31 July. We salute you for demonstrating unparalleled determination by coming out in your numbers to exercise your democratic right and voting for change and real transformation. However, once more your victory has been flagrantly and brutally thwarted. Your anger, bitterness and pain are palpable, but your resolve for a better Zimbabwe remain unbridled. For the last 13 years you have resisted this dictatorship and your resistance has often been met with brutal resistance from the State security. As a party, the MDC-T knows that even before a vote was cast, the outcome was inevitable because of a corrupt voters' roll, unauthentic ballot papers, a highly partisan electoral commission, a partisan State media and army, police; and the bully boy militia in the wings. We know that the brutal Zanu PF regime has once more unashamedly and mercilessly subverted the will of the people.   Therefore,

FLAWED ELECTIONS SAY GERMANY

Foreign Minister Westerwelle calls for investigation into Zimbabwe election results 5 August 2013 German Foreign Guido Minister Westerwelle is very critical of the lack of transparency and alleged irregularities in Zimbabwe presidential elections Zimbabwe’s presidential elections, a spokesperson for the Federal Foreign Office said yesterday in a statement on the conduct and outcome of the presidential elections in Zimbabwe. The Foreign Minister believes that this will cast a long shadow over Zimbabwe’s political and economic future. Germany has joined UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon in his call for a comprehensive investigation into all alleged manipulations. Robert Mugabe was declared the winner of the presidential elections in Zimbabwe. His defeated contender Morgan Tsvangirai stated that he wanted to challenge the results. The elections were overshadowed by serious allegations of manipulation. The EU and the United States levelled heavy criticism, while the Unite

USA REJECTS ZIMBABWE`S SHAM ELECTION RESULTS!

Zimbabwe's Presidential Election Press Statement John Kerry Secretary of State Washington, DC August 3, 2013 Zimbabweans voted in their country’s first national elections this week since the violent and disputed polls in 2008. These elections were an opportunity for Zimbabwe to move forward on a democratic path and provide a foundation for growth and prosperity. The people of Zimbabwe should be commended for rejecting violence and showing their commitment to the democratic process. But make no mistake: in light of substantial electoral irregularities reported by domestic and regional observers, the United States does not believe that the results announced today represent a credible expression of the will of the Zimbabwean people. Though the United States was restricted from monitoring these elections, the balance of evidence indicates that today’s announcement was the culmination of a deeply flawed process. There were irregularities in the provision

AFRICAN PRESS ORGANISATION: ELECTIONS WERE NOT CREDIBLE!

Foreign Secretary statement on Zimbabwe election results LONDON, United-Kingdom, August 5, 2013/African Press Organization (APO)/ – Foreign Secretary commends the people of Zimbabwe on peaceful elections but sets out grave concerns over how those elections were conducted.   Foreign Secretary William Hague said:   “People around the world are watching events in Zimbabwe, following the announcement by the Zimbabwean Electoral Commission that President Mugabe has won the presidential elections, as well as the indications of possible legal challenges. I commend the people of Zimbabwe on holding peaceful elections. However we have grave concerns over the conduct of the election. The preliminary statements of the African Union (AU) and Southern African Development Community (SADC) observation missions, and those of the domestic observer groups, have outlined many of these significant concerns, and I hope that their final assessments of the elections will take into account the full impact

NORWAY: ELECTIONS WERE NOT CREDIBLE

Zimbabwe elections marred by irregularities “Norway is pleased that the elections in Zimbabwe passed off peacefully, in contrast to the previous elections in 2008. This is a step in the right direction. But unfortunately there are clear indications that these elections were marred by so many irregularities that they cannot be called open and fair,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs Espen Barth Eide.    Presidential and parliamentary elections were held in Zimbabwe on 31 July. The results were announced yesterday. According to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission, current President Robert Mugabe (ZANU-PF) received 61 % of the votes in the presidential election, while Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai (MDC-T) received 34 %. In the parliamentary election, ZANU-PF is reported to have won 196 of 270 seats.     Election observers from the African Union (AU) and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) have identified a number of serious flaws. The voters’ roll was not made publ

ELECTION RIGGING EVIDENCE!!

Evidence of rigging Youths bused in to Mount Pleasant Another fraud technique appears to have been captured on video: footage allegedly shows busloads of youths arriving at a polling station at Mount Pleasant, in Harare. The footage shows the youths running off a bus, hiding their faces from the camera. The MDC-T Secretary General and MP for the constituency, Tendai Biti, found out about the new arrivals and headed down to the polling station. In the amateur footage, he can be heard exclaiming: “This is not on, this is blatant cheating”. When Biti asks a man, allegedly the bus driver, where the people are from he responds: “It’s not a secret, but we’re not allowed to say that”. In the window of the bus there is a sign for Honde Valley, suggesting the bus came from the border area between Zimbabwe and Mozambique, over 300km from Harare. (France 24) Illiterate voters ‘helped’ Three Zimbabwean election observers told France 24 they saw hundreds of voters from rural areas claim

BOTSWANA DOES NOT THINK MUGABE`S VICTORY WAS FREE & FAIR!

Botswana on the 2013 election in Zim In its previous statement of the 1st August 2013 on the 2013 harmonised elections held in the Republic of Zimbabwe, the Government of Botswana stated that it was continuing to monitor the electoral process and would announce its position on the matter after receiving the findings of its election observers, who were then still deployed within Zimbabwe. As part of the Southern African Development Community’s (SADC) collective commitment to observe the electoral process in Zimbabwe, the Government of Botswana dispatched an 80 member election observer team to Zimbabwe. The team, which was led by His Honour the Former Vice President, Lt. General Mompati Merafhe, consisted of distinguished citizens drawn from a wide range of experience in the conduct of elections including former diplomats, senior civil servants and politicians, as well as academics, civil society and religious leaders. MDC SUPPORTERS BEING TARGETED BY ZANU-PF

MDC-T to alert regional leaders as ZPF targets supporters By Tererai Karimakwenda SW Radio Africa 5 August 2013 A tense post-election environment has been reported in many parts of the country as the MDC-T accuses ZANU PF of victimizing activists who played a role in last week’s elections. MDC-T spokesman Douglas Mwonzora told SW Radio Africa that at least 25 families had been evicted from their homes in Mt. Darwin, the constituency run by the ZANU PF Minister for Indigenization, Saviour Kasukuwere. Many other families were evicted from Mberengwa, Zaka and some parts of Nyanga North. Other MDC-T activists fled to the party headquarters in Harare fearing for their lives and their families. ITV News spoke to some of the victims at Harvest House. One activist confirmed to ITV that they had been forced out of their homes by ZANU-PF agents in retaliation for supporting the MDC-T. “If this ZANU-PF retaliation is not arrested, then there will be a lot of unrest in Zimbabwe

DOSSIER ON BALLOT THEFT SOON TO BE READY

MDC-T prepares to submit dossier on ZANU PF ballot theft By Nomalanga Moyo SW Radio Africa 5 August 2013 MDC-T coalition partner and Mavambo leader Simba Makoni says measures are being taken to expose the unprecedented ballot theft which saw ZANU PF winning the Wednesday election. Makoni, who contested the just-ended poll on a MDC-T ticket, said they were rejecting ZANU PF’s victory as an outcome of a rigged process, and calling for fresh elections. Last Thursday MDC-T president Morgan Tsvangirai declared the election ‘null and void, and described it as a ‘farce’ which did not reflect the will of the people. Makoni told SW Radio Africa Monday that a dossier was being compiled by the MDC-T in a bid to reveal how ZANU PF and its leader Robert Mugabe rigged the election. He said Zimbabweans should expect other measures aimed at challenging the electoral fraud to be put in motion before “the inauguration of the so-called winner”. The MDC-T has until Saturday – as requ

TIME FOR FRAUD-PROOF VOTING SYSTEM

The MDC formations should not give up now, this is actually the time to rise up from this state of shock and work-out a feasible way forward. Usually success is measured by how fast one is able to bounce back from difficulties, with vigor and enthusiasm. You have not lost the election; you were cheated out of victory, and it was not only YOU cheated,  The whole Nation was robbed. Remember, you still have the people`s mandate and the Nation now looks up to you for guidance! Show them you are still around and something will be done about the SHAM Elections. The electorate field was not even, the machinery put in place to rig was professional, which left the whole nation stunned. This is the time to give the people a new VISION , devise a workable MISSION , OBJECTIVES , STRATEGY and eventually TACTICS .     We should now look forward, but we should not forget that we should also fight this SHAM of an Election, yes let’s collect evidence and expose Mugabe and his criminals. ZIMBABWEAN CITIZEN: ELECTION AFTERMATH

MOURNING THE LOSS OF HOPE & SECURITY IN THE WAKE OF A SHAMELESSLY STOLEN ELECTION I was ten years old when my two best friends were murdered. I can describe in forensic detail exactly what happened on the day I got the news.   I was playing outside on an adult sized bicycle, propelling myself dangerously forward over homemade ramps constructed from breeze bocks and bits of plank while a cross-breed bull-terrier manically yapped and tried to shred my tyres with her teeth. My mother called me and my siblings into the house and asked us to sit down.   We were expectant; the seriousness of the occasion was highly unusual and, in fact, has never been repeated in the rest of my life. My father walked in and with a focussed calmness I will never ever forget said, "I have bad news. There is a possibility that [names withheld] are dead". I remember his hands were shaking and that he lifted one of them to touch his forehead as he spoke. And I remember that just as he said
